Introduction of the department:
The fundamental goal of the Department of English is to build a community of
authors, readers, and thinkers. In order to prepare students for a variety of
occupations and a lifetime of learning, we offer an extensive education in
literature, language, and creative writing. The Department of English offers
undergraduate and post-graduate degree programs in English language and literature.
Renowned academics and exceptionally skilled professors who take pleasure in
educating and counseling students make up our faculty. The goal of the English
department is to prepare students for a variety of professions and a lifetime of
learning by promoting creative expression, effective communication, and critical
thinking. The students learn to appreciate and evaluate literary works in addition
to mastering language skills and becoming fluent in English. Apart from the
classroom education, students get acquainted with various extracurricular and
extension activities concerning language and literature. The aim is to transform
them into well-rounded individuals who have a knack to appreciate art and uphold
universal values like love, compassion, and brotherhood. Throughout the year, a
variety of research-focused events are planned to encourage a spirit of research
among teachers and students. Cultivating employability skills that are relevant in
the modern era is a top priority. Excellent resources and highly qualified,
committed teachers help the department fulfill its vision.
Objectives of the Department:

Department Achievements:
1. Our students have published novels, poetry collections, and
scholarly articles in English.

medalists at the university and got JRF.
